Scouting the Yuba River
Out near Nevada City, California is a beautiful area along the 2 main branches of the yuba river where trails will lead you to great swimming spots, waterfalls and water-sculpted boulders. We were thinking about the possibility of camping in the area and finding good spots to bring small groups to.

Nomad's Notes
This was one of several scouting trips we took at the time. We did not really expect to take photos other than as a record of the places, but these turned out rather nice, so here you go... Photo 8 in the first gallery shows Poison Oak - do not touch this plant at all, not with your clothing, not even with your boots - you are likely to break out with a horrible rash and the oily residue is difficult to wash away. Gallery 2... this was the last time I saw Cassidi. Little did I know that 6 months later she would pass away from an unexpected illness. We miss her very much!
